Trumpet jazzman JEFF KAYE has some pretty heavy credentials: more than a dozen years as a member of the Ray Charles Orchestra, work with Lionel Hampton, Clifford Jordan, Pete Christleib, Junior Cook and other jazz greats round out his resume\' and Jeff most recently played on the soundtrack of the film RAY.

You don\'t play with those cats unless you have some pretty heavy chops, and Jeff\'s right up there with the best of \'em! His new cd, JUST LIKE ME (Jazzed Media JM1011) is a tight and refreshing mix of bop, ballad and straight ahead jazz played the way it should be. Jeff has gathered together sidemen who can really play, and the result is a fine, very listenable compact disk.
